Ken was born in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. In 1976, Ken received his law degree from South Texas College of Law. Following law school, Ken worked in private practice until 1980. In 1980, Ken joined the legal department of Amoco Corporation and then went to work for BP America Inc. in 1999 after the corporate merger of BP and Amoco, serving as senior attorney for BP until his retirement in early 2007. Ken joined the firm as Of Counsel in April 2007.
